Two main program components are required for the EVVA AirKey system operation: an online administration system located on the EVVA web server and accessed from any browser, and an app downloaded to the user’s smartphone.

In the administration system, the administrator performs operations that organize the work of the system: adds KeyCredits (which are used to pay for the access rights changes), creates and administers users, keys and locking devices, and assigns, changes and terminates access rights.

A smartphone with an installed AirKey app can be used as a key. If a smartphone is assigned with maintenance authorization, it also serves as an intermedium between the administration system and the locking devices: it transmits information about keys and other settings to the cylinders and receives from them information about their status (battery level, software version) and event history.
